The price of methyl acetate is about to rise due to its production raw materials acetic acid and n-butanol. Device dynamics

Acetic acid plant: 1. Yankuangs new ammonia synthesis plant has insufficient carbon monoxide and runs at 70% load for one week.

2. Tianjia acetic acid plant is currently operating at 30% load and is expected to resume on May 15

3. CE and Henan Shunda plan to stop for maintenance on May 20

n-butanol device:

1. Yankuang will reduce its load to 50% due to syngas and is expected to last for 3 days.

2. The Tianka plant fluctuates and the daily output is less than 200 tons.

Guangxi's 700,000-ton acetic acid plant fails and shuts down, expected to take about 10 days

Originally during the May Day holiday, as truck transportation dominated factories, transportation restrictions had little impact, and at the beginning of the month, factories mostly carried out long-term contracts. Therefore, the overall inventory rose in a narrow range, with less fluctuation than before the holiday. During this week, as prices continued to rise, factory shipments were smooth and some factories failed to reduce load, the overall supply was simultaneously damaged, and corporate inventories continued to decline. Overall, the main reason for the price increase of glacial acetic acid is the reduction of corporate inventories and the issuance of subsequent factory maintenance plans, which support the mentality of the industry. At present, factory inventories have been continuously pushed up this week and have gradually dropped to low levels, and corporate mentality has been supported. In the future, we need to pay attention to downstream price transmission. It is expected that market prices may be relatively strong in the short term.
