Vinyl acetate is a colorless liquid, with a sweet ether flavor; slightly soluble in water, soluble in alcohol, acetone, benzene, chloroform. Vinyl acetate is flammable and its vapor and air can form explosive mixtures. Case of fire, high heat can cause combustion explosion. And the oxidant can react strongly.
