Diethyl Phthalate is a chemical with the formula C12H14O4. Colorless to yellowish clear oily liquid. Soluble in ethanol, ether, soluble in acetone, benzene, carbon tetrachloride, almost insoluble in water. Used as plasticizer, solvent, lubricant, deodorant, foaming agent for flotation of non-ferrous or rare metal mines, gas chromatography fixing liquid, alcohol denaturant, spray insecticide. Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat source. Should be separated from oxidizer, acid storage, do not mix storage.
