5.1 International Workers' Day:
International Labor Day is a national holiday in more than 80 countries in the world. Its origin is the workers' strike in Chicago, USA in May 1886. However, Labor Day in the United States falls on the first Monday of September every year.
5.9 Victory Day:
On May 9, 1945, Germany signed Germany's unconditional surrender to the Soviet Union, Britain, and the United States. Since then, every May 9th has been celebrated as Victory Day in Russia’s Patriotic War. The country has a day off. On this day, grand military parades are held in major cities. The one we are more familiar with is the Red Square military parade. People will also wear a yellow and black striped "Saint George Ribbon" on their chest and arms to symbolize bravery and victory.

Independence Day is Israel’s national holiday, falling on the 5th of the month of Yir in the Jewish calendar. It celebrates the issuance of Israel’s Declaration of Independence in 1948.
