Dibutyl phthalate, also known as Dibutyl fat, English :Dibutyl phthalate, colorless transparent oil liquid, specific gravity 1.045 (21 deG C), boiling point 340 DEG C, insoluble in water, water soluble and volatile are very low, but soluble in ethanol, ether, acetone and benzene and other organic solvents can also be soluble with most hydrocarbons. Dibutyl phthalate (DBP), dioctyl phthalate (DOP) and diiso-butyl phthalate (DIBP) are three of the most common plasticizers, which are commonly used in plastics, synthetic rubber and artificial leather. For people: the most sensitive people can smell the threshold concentration of 0.00026mg/L. The threshold concentration of this product is 0.00016mg/L for the light reflex action of eyes, and 0.00011 ~ 0.00012mg/L for the bioelectrical activity of brain. Polyneuritis, spinal neuritis, and multiple neuritis in the brain may occur in workers who produce plasticizers.
Action on skin and eyes: a small amount can be absorbed through the whole skin. Skin and eye mucous membrane contact with this product once, does not cause irritation, but repeated contact can be seen serious irritation. According to some experimental data, it may cause mild sensitization.
Emergency treatment and disposal methods
Site ventilation, eliminate all fire hidden danger. Emergency personnel must wear protective equipment to enter the site. Adsorb the leakage with vermiculite, dry sand, soil or similar sorbent and collect it in an airtight container.
Work site to strengthen ventilation, strictly prohibit fireworks.
