Ethanol oxidation method. In this method, ethanol and air are oxidized at high temperature in the presence of a catalyst to produce acetic acid. Its advantage is that the raw material is easy to obtain, the process is simple, but it requires a high reaction temperature and pressure.

Low carbon alkane oxidation method. In this method, low carbon alkane (such as ethane, propane, etc.) is used as raw material, and under the action of catalyst, it oxidizes with air to produce acetic acid. It has the advantages of abundant raw materials and low cost, but the reaction conditions are harsh.

Acetaldehyde oxidation method. In this method, acetaldehyde is used as raw material to oxidize with oxygen under the action of catalyst to produce acetic acid. Its advantage is that it can use the by-products in the production process of acetaldehyde to improve the utilization rate of resources.

Acetic acid fermentation method. In this method, microorganisms convert sugars into acetic acid under anaerobic conditions. Its advantages are mild conditions and high selectivity, but the fermentation process is longer and the production efficiency is relatively low.

Methanol carbonylation method. In this method, methanol reacts with carbon monoxide to produce acetic acid. Its advantage is that the yield and quality of acetic acid can be controlled by adjusting the reaction conditions.
